Platinum Series

Pyramid Platinum PT1-LB3-USA Bill Acceptor (120V AC)

Platinum with a built-in 120V AC supply and relay credit output, for equipment with no low-voltage power.

Some cabinets have mains power and nothing else, like stand-alone changers, older vending-style equipment and custom kiosks built around an outlet. The PT1-LB3-USA is the Platinum for those jobs. It carries Pyramid's optional 120 VAC power supply (option 3 in the part code), so it doesn't need a 12V source. Its credit output is a set of relay contacts rather than a transistor, which keeps the acceptor electrically separate from the host's credit input. The rest of the part code means a locking-type 500-note cassette (LB) set up for US notes.

Key features

  • Built-in 120 VAC supply, so no separate 12V power source is needed
  • Relay-contact credit output for pulse and Always Enabled pulse modes
  • Mars-style 600-baud serial mode also supported on the 120V model
  • Optional wall-plug harness (P/N 05AA0012) runs it from a standard outlet
  • Locking-type 500-note cassette (the L and B in the part number)

Installation & setup notes

AC power goes to the 9-pin connector, hot on pin 4 (black) and neutral on pin 6 (white). In pulse modes, take credits from the relay on pins 7 (brown) and 8 (blue) of that same connector. Because the relay is dry, it can drive whatever credit input voltage your controller uses within its rating.

To plug it into a standard wall outlet, add Pyramid's wall-plug harness, P/N 05AA0012. The RS-232 communication harness, P/N 05AA0068, comes with a DB9 connector on a 6 ft cable and is listed by Pyramid for use with the 120 VAC model.

Running on a 12V rail instead? Choose the PT1-LB1-USA. Running an MDB vending machine? Choose the PT1-LB4-USA.
