Apex 7000 Series

Pyramid Apex 7400-U73 Bill Acceptor (110V, 700-Note Cashbox)

Wall-powered $1–$20 Apex with a 700-note cashbox, for machines that fill a 500-note box too quickly.

Busy locations can fill a 500-note box before the next collection. The 7400-U73 fixes that with a 700-note cashbox; the 7 in its part number is Pyramid's code for the 700-bill cassette in the Apex ordering guide. Pyramid confirms cashbox capacity is the only difference from the 7400-UB3. Everything else carries over from the UB3: $1 to $20 notes, a built-in 110–120VAC supply, a rear harness exit, up-or-downstacker marketing, and the standard bezel that the 00 ending of 7400 denotes in Pyramid's model chart. If a rear exit would crowd the wiring in your cabinet, see the side-exit 7400-DB3 instead, which has a 500-note box.

Installation & setup notes

Choose the 7400-U73 over the 7400-UB3 when a 120V machine fills its cashbox between collections; the extra 200 notes of capacity is the only change.

The 7400-U73 chassis carries its own 110VAC supply, so it connects straight to wall power in equipment that has no 12V rail — laundromat changers, standalone kiosks and older amusement cabinets. Output to the host controller is pulse or serial, selected with DIP switches.

Uses Pyramid's standard bezel footprint; check your cabinet's cutout against the Apex 7000 mounting drawing before ordering.

On 120V Apex units, the U and D letters in the part number mark where the wire harness exits the chassis (rear on U-coded builds, side on D-coded builds). They do not mark a different stacking direction. A rear exit can pinch the harness in tight cabinets such as Arachnid dartboards; choose a side-exit D-coded sibling when clearance is tight.
