Apex 7602-UB1 by Pyramid: VFM-Style 12 VDC Bill Acceptor for $1 Through $100
12 VDC Apex with a VFM-style faceplate and the magnetic-head reader for US notes up to $100.

The 7602-UB1 answers a specific question: what goes into a 12-volt machine whose door was cut for a VFM-style validator once the operator wants to take fifties and hundreds? The 7402-UB1 already fills that VFM-shaped opening on 12 volts, but its reader stops at $20. This model uses the magnetic-head reader from Pyramid's 7600 platform instead, so the accepted set grows to $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 while the faceplate stays VFM-style. Compared with the 7600-UB1, reader and accepted notes match, and the only difference is the bezel: Pyramid's standard front there, the VFM-style front here. Power comes from the machine's 12 VDC rail, and accepted notes go into a 500-note plastic cassette. The listing does not confirm which host signalling the unit is set up for, so talk to us before you connect it to a particular board.
Decoding 7602-UB1
Each block of the code is one of Pyramid's ordering choices. 76 picks the reader fitted with a magnetic head, which Pyramid's manual pairs with the full US $1 to $100 set; the manual also says only its fifty- and hundred-dollar acceptors get that head as standard. 02 is bezel #2, the one Pyramid labels the "VFM" style (VFM is a trademark of Mars Electronics International). B stands for a 500-note plastic cassette, and the closing 1 is power option 1, 12 VDC.
7402-UB1, 7600-UB1 or 7601-UB1 instead?
Keep the 7402-UB1 in mind if the machine never sees a note above $20: it has the same VFM-style front and 12 V supply, without the magnetic head.
For a door shaped for Pyramid's own bezel, the 7600-UB1 carries the identical $1-to-$100 reader, and if the opening is Coinco-shaped, the 7601-UB1 is this model's Coinco-faced twin. Since the front is the only thing separating those three large-note units, measure the cutout before you order.
Letting the $50 and $100 through
The bottom DIP bank has four note switches, positions 1 to 4, for the $1, $5, $10 and $20. On a 7600-platform acceptor such as this one, Pyramid links the two large notes to position 4, so switching the $20 on enables the fifty and the hundred too. With high-value notes turned on, Pyramid's configuration card advises the high security level.
Supplying 12 volts
Pyramid rates power option 1 at 12 VDC with a 10 percent tolerance either way, drawing 2.5 A at the input, and includes no harness with it. Reuse the machine's existing lead if it suits the acceptor, or source one before installation day.
Check the host side first
What this listing pins down: 12 VDC power, a VFM-style bezel, acceptance of US notes from $1 up to $100 and a 500-note cassette. What it leaves open is the signalling mode the unit is set for on the host side. Tell us which machine and board it is going into, and we will check compatibility with you before you buy.
