Apex 7601-UB1 by Pyramid: 12 VDC, $1–$100 Bill Acceptor with Coinco-Style Bezel
Coinco-faced 12 VDC Apex that takes $50 and $100 notes on top of $1 through $20.

Think of the 7601-UB1 as the point where two existing Apex lines meet. It keeps the Coinco-style faceplate of the 7401-UB1 but uses the magnetic-head reader of the 7600 platform, so it validates US $50 and $100 notes as well as $1, $5, $10 and $20. Set beside a 7600-UB1, the reader and note range are identical and only the front differs: Pyramid's standard bezel on the 7600, a Coinco-style bezel on this 7601. It runs from a 12 volt DC supply in the host machine and stacks up to 500 notes in a plastic cassette. The host signalling for this listing has not been confirmed yet, so check with us before wiring it to a particular board.
Reading the 7601-UB1 part number
Pyramid's Apex ordering code splits this model into a handful of choices. The 76 prefix is the reader with a magnetic head, which the manual ties to the US $1 to $100 note set. The 01 that follows is bezel option #1, the one Pyramid calls the "Coinco" style (Coinco is a trademark of Coinco Inc.). B calls for a plastic cassette that holds 500 notes, and the final digit, 1, selects 12 VDC power.
7601-UB1 versus the 7401-UB1 and 7600-UB1
Against the 7401-UB1, the bezel, cassette and 12 V power are shared. The difference is the magnetic head, which lets this unit take $50 and $100 notes where the 7401 stops at $20.
Against the 7600-UB1, the reader and note range are shared. The difference is the front: Pyramid's standard bezel on the 7600, the Coinco-style bezel on this 7601. Let the cutout in the machine door decide.
Turning on fifties and hundreds
On the bottom DIP switch, positions 1 to 4 control the first four notes. On Pyramid's $1-to-$100 models the $50 and $100 have no switch of their own; they come on together whenever position 4, the $20, is on. Pyramid's configuration card guidance is to choose the high security level when an acceptor is set up for high-value notes.
12-volt power
Power option 1 means the unit runs on 12 VDC within plus or minus 10 percent, with Pyramid rating the input at 2.5 A. Pyramid ships this option without a harness, so plan on reusing the lead already in the machine or sourcing one that suits it.
Before you order
This listing confirms the power, bezel, cassette and note range, but not which signalling mode the unit is set up for on the host side. Send us the make and model of your machine and we will check the match with you before you buy.
