Pyramid Apex USB Flash Download Cable (05AA0026)

Pyramid part number 05AA0026 — the USB flash download cable that connects PTI bill validators to a Windows PC. Combined with the free PTI Acceptor Tools software it lets you configure acceptors, run diagnostics, and flash the latest firmware and currency updates.

Plug the 05AA0026 into a USB port on any Windows PC and into the download port on the validator, then open the free PTI Acceptor Tools software. From there you can read the acceptor's current settings, change interface and pulse options without touching DIP switches, run sensor diagnostics, and load the newest firmware or currency file. A typical firmware update takes about a minute per unit.

It is the shop-bench counterpart to the handheld PRO-2 programmer and the Bluetooth BluStream dongle: if you service acceptors at the counter rather than in the field, the USB cable is the lowest-cost way to keep a fleet of Pyramid validators current.

Compatible with Pyramid Apex 7400 and 7600 series validators and other Pyramid models that carry the same download port. The cable ships alone; the Acceptor Tools software is a free download from Pyramid Technologies (link below).
